Like every year, the tech community is looking forward to February, the month of the Mobile World Congress, one of the biggest tech events of the year, where a lot of important smartphone manufacturers are announcing their latest flagships!
However, unlike previous years, it seems that Samsung won’t do it, as their upcoming high end model, the Galaxy S8, is expected to make its debut somewhere around the end of March. Still, this doesn’t mean that the South Korean manufacturer won’t be present!
According to Android Police, the big announcement was just made! Whoa, calm down, they’re not releasing the S8 earlier, but a new tablet!
Even though this wasn’t confirmed, it’s pretty obvious that they’re planning to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, a model with top notch specs. Just take a closer look at the teaser. Those lines don’t belong to a phone for sure, since they definitely belong to a tablet!
Of course, there’s a lot of room for speculation, since the shape does look a bit different than what we’re used with, but for the moment we can only play the waiting game.
Spec-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 should come with a 9.6″ display, rocking a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, and a Snapdragon 820 system-on-chip under the hood, aided by 4 GB of RAM.
Rumors also claim that this will be Samsung’s first tablet with Android 7.0 Nougat, enabling users to use the native split-screen feature. Also, the physical home button will be present, despite the manufacturer’s decision to ditch it from the Galaxy S8.
This is everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, but we’re definitely getting back to this topic, as soon as anything new comes up. After all, we’re talking about a serious rival for Apple’s iPad!
