Hi,

I really like the look and feel of your program. The install went smoothly and I was able to edit the footer and header and enter blog entries.

I have returned to my site and my ".admin.php" does not appear to be password protected. I have cleared my history and cookies.

Secondly, I was wondering if I could edit the dates on the blog entries. I want to put previous blog entries into this program.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

admin.php is protected through the config file.

You could change the date but you would need to generate a timecode and insert it through phpmyadmin.

Hi,

I did not change anything in my config file below the // --------------------- DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING BELOW UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING -------------------------// line.
I have my index at this site.
http://www.theyseek.com/blog/index.php.

When I go to
http://www.theyseek.com/blog/admin.php web page, it allows me to edit any blog entries without a password.

When I first installed the program, I had a nice little admin panel on the right side of the page that allowed me to edit templates etc. I don't see that panel anymore. It is in my database though as I did check it.

I really like your program and would appreciate any help in this area.
thanks
:)

Hmm the only thing I can think of is if you edited admin.php or if there is somehow a $level variable set to a value in a file you have included into the site.

In order to deny access it first checks to see if the $protect value is = to yes, that is set on admin.php...then it checks to see if the level you are is equal to nothing or if you are a member, if so it then says you cannot get into the admin panel.

If either of those are conflicted with, then it would explain the problem. Thanks.

Hi,

You were right about the site. I treid to include the program within existing webapges and had the problem. After, I edited the headers and footers through your program, the problem with the admin panel went right away. I am a very happy camper.

I still would like to eidt the existing dates so that I could include blog entries before I discovered your program. You said that I could change the date but would need to generate a timecode and insert it through phpmyadmin. Is that very difficult? Do you have a web page that details how that procedure is done? It would be great if future versions of your program allowed the date to be edited when the blog entry was inserted. I really like your program and look forward to using it. thanks for your help! :D

I will write up a little program that allows you to do it easily, I'll post a link once it is done. :) (enter the date, select the entry to update...done)

Download, upload and rename .phps to .php. Should work fine. :)

Hi,

I just uploaded the "code" and it is a very nifty little program. It worked perfectly in changing the day and month correctly but did changed the year incorrectly. It seemed to put in a random date for the year. I really do appreciate all the time that you put into creating the date change and look forward to the next version. thanks so much!

Glad you like it, only took about 5 minutes to make. :D I'll check out what the problem is with the year and upload the fixed file. EDIT: I fixed the problem, you can either get it from the above link or download 2.0 which includes datechange.php along with fixed bugs.
