After a much anticipated launch, the Pro and Lite versions of AdaptCMS proved to be much more successful than the sole first version of AdaptCMS. Once released, the brainstorming process for v1.1 of AdaptCMS began, followed by development, beta testing and release. I can't say when v1.1 will be released, but can talk about some of the new features that will be in it.

Sitemap Generator

A very cool and easy to use plugin. You can adjust the frequency, say you put in "7". That means every 7 days a new sitemap will be generated including all content, user profiles, pages, etc. A sitemap is a file that includes a basic archive of every link of your website, which is then pinged to google, ask and yahoo (optional) once the sitemap is generated.

Backup Tool

The backup tool sees it return, originally in OneCMS. With this tool you can select the areas (config, articles, plugins, etc.) and have an SQL backup. Once you download it, the file is deleted with no security problems. Backing up your SQL is something very important and vital, this tool makes it an incredibly fast and easy process right inside the admin panel!

Conclusion

There are a lot of new features coming in AdaptCMS v1.1, some I'd rather wait to reveal upon release and some I'd like to tell you about, but haven't been done yet. There is no expected release date, however a release no later than march is expected.
