Insane Visions - Version 4 [Online]
 | |
@ Dec 30, 07 - 2:02 am
Site wise there has been addition, improvements, changes, etc. and with the store and download area, Insane Visions essentially reached v3.5, however all the changes lately, I figured it warranted a new blurb about it, making it version 4 of the site. There are quite a bit of tweaks but I want to first get to the biggest changes. First off, the font size. Being real simple about it...it was too small. A lot of content is on IV and it just seemed crammed and small. The next big change (will be) the upgraded store. I have nothing to say about it because the changes are only in the "thought" process, but the current system needs some changing. The last "big" change, as I'm sure you have also noticed, is the homepage. The content area has been widened, homepage items are more attractive with more details. As for other upcoming changes, possibly a search box, podcast and a lot more. Hope you enjoy the new version! - Charlie Page

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all viewers enjoy today and of course enjoy your presents and stay safe. However unlike a lot of sites on the web we practically never take vacations. We'll be posting, hopefully, the AdaptCMS Lite v1.0 Beta soon after Christmas and a tutorial or two. Merry Christmas!

OneCMS v2.5 - Beta Signup
 | |
@ Dec 21, 07 - 6:57 pm
There hasn't been much talk about the upcoming OneCMS v2.5 and I wish it could of been released earlier, but the good news is that it will be out before the new year! To squash out some bugs a beta is now up. By the time you sign-up, you should have instant access to download it. Beta Signup Page As with the AdaptCMS Lite v1.0 Beta, simply go to that page and you will have only a few details to fill out. You must be a registered member here at Insane Visions, so make sure you are logged in (if not, then register). When downloaded simply upload all the files, edit "config.php" with your MySQL info and run install.php in your browser, you can even upgrade a pre-existing version of OneCMS! Enjoy!

Website Maintenance
 | |
@ Dec 15, 07 - 7:08 pm
Insane Visions is and has been running on both AdaptCMS and AdaptBB for a little while now. But I wanted to post tonight because of some maintenance that's underway. Support First up is the old "Support" system. It's not bad and it works, but has some problems. Firstly I put in a paginator, 10 support items per page. I removed where only Staff could see closed tickets, a lot of closed tickets answer some common problems. All of the mentioned is up right now, but there is more work left on it. For one, right now you submit a ticket and I can answer. You can't edit it with a further response or anything like that, I'll be fixing that. Contact Us Next up, not as much to talk about, is the Contact Us page. It had my aim, msn and yahoo listed, that's it. Now I have that, with links as well as a full form to contact IV. Continue...

I use OneCMS as the backend of my site, VisionPS3.com. Why? Because OneCMS is the best content management system that I have ever used, it is also very easy, extremely customizable, and has a very small learning curve. In addition, it comes backed by one of the most knowledgeable programmers that I know, which is Chuck, the creator of OneCMS. He never hesitated to get hands-on with the small amounts of problems I ran into, as he knows the CMS like the back of his hand. A big thanks goes out to the creator of OneCMS for creating, managing, and helping with the greatest CMS on the web! |||||2 - Jesse Wingert, Founder/Owner, VisionPS3.com |
