AdaptCMS - RSS Importer
 |
 @ Mar 05, 08 - 1:09 am
A blog has been posted on a Pro exclusive feature for the upcoming AdaptCMS v1.1. Here is an excerpt: "Besides being essential for websites that run on feeding RSS feeds, the RSS Importer plugin has many other uses. When I ran PAX Gamers.com later on, I found adding news a pretty boring task and with this plugin a game website could feed through game news and then handle the rest. Not only that, but there's so much potential to expand."

"After a much anticipated launch, the Pro and Lite versions of AdaptCMS proved to be much more successful than the sole first version of AdaptCMS. Once released, the brainstorming process for v1.1 of AdaptCMS began, followed by development, beta testing and release. I can't say when v1.1 will be released, but can talk about some of the new features that will be in it."

AdaptCMS Versioning
 |
 @ Feb 15, 08 - 12:24 pm
With AdaptCMS released and doing well, I can now focus on v1.1, I've already thought of a lot of great things and one focal point is the style of versioning for AdaptCMS, I wanted to explain. Pretty much, it will stick to the style of OneCMS, rather than BlogPHP. BlogPHP was basically v1.0, v2.0 and v3.0. The problem with this is that limits the amount of versions and would mean no minimal updates. The OneCMS style of v2.0, 2.1, 2.2, etc. is the preferred choice and will be the versioning for AdaptCMS. This allows a version to happen often, but not a "major" version. At this point, the thought is a v1.1-1.5 and then a v2.0, which would be a major version. On another note, v1.1 details should be revealed early next week with (hopefully) some screen shots. The brainstorming phase is practically done, so at this point the actual coding is just now starting.

The Website With AdaptCMS Pro doing well, our store had some issues. We have now resolved those issues, rather than the AJAX setup with limitations, a more standard type. More inclusions into script directories, you can now see the Vote for Us page, which now has more websites to rate us at. AdaptCMS v1.1 AdaptCMS v1.0 of Pro and Lite has gone well, but we are already planning the next version. Bug fixes, new features, new plugins! Testimonials
I tried five different content management systems before I settled on OneCMS. OneCMS has proved itself to be very powerful, capable and easily customizable. The support has been fantastic; any little problems or questions I had were answered in one day. This software comes with my highest recommendations. - George Lester, Founder/Webmaster, NintendoFocus.com |
