AdaptCMS v1.2 - Major Version (kinda)
 |
 @ Apr 10, 08 - 9:05 pm
After a week without posting, I feel I need to post something and I have a bit of something to reveal.
I'm always pretty quiet about the progress of AdaptCMS (always thinking how it could be incorporated into the site) and aside from a blog about the features in the next version, it's a mystery until release. (same with OneCMS) However, v1.2 of AdaptCMS will (kind of) be a major version.
I say this because several things like stats and polls have been re-structured as well as several core features, cookies have been switched to sessions and several major features are awaiting to be done, including Subscriptions, which would make big changes. I hate to call 1.2 a "Major Version", but it is not a minor upgrade. I'll call it a "mini, major version".
I'll be doing another blog about site making, if you have any suggestion on what to cover or suggestions for what our next tutorial should be, leave a comment or contact us.

PHP and Forms
 |
 @ Apr 04, 08 - 6:42 pm
We finally have a new tutorial up, this time covering the basics of using PHP and Forms, take a look:
"You probably have a CMS or at least a blog script running on your website and to add articles, among other things, you fill out a form. If you've ever wondered how that translated over to a blog being added to a database and how it's verified, then you will want to read this tutorial."

New Script upcoming
 |
 @ Mar 20, 08 - 12:32 am
With the release of AdaptCMS Pro/Lite v1.1 and OneCMS being in-active, I've been mulling through possibilities for a new PHP Script. I have the intention of making a few smaller ones, but with AdaptCMS being the only major project here, I'd like to start something new.
At this point it's just ideas, but there are some possibilities already. From a Social Script (ala myspace and the like), to a Project Manager (for a coder/designer). I have a lot of big ideas, but I've really been looking to do something "vital/important", something that wouldn't apply to only very few.
AdaptBB is still, somewhat, alive with all this. You hate to throw all that work away, it is a good forum system and is really, mostly complete. But the idea of having AdaptCMS Pro/Lite, New Script AND AdaptBB is low. But all this is just in the brainstorming stages.
If you have any ideas, feedback, suggestions feel free to leave a comment! (guests can post comments temporarily)

AdaptCMS - RSS Importer
 |
 @ Mar 05, 08 - 1:09 am
A blog has been posted on a Pro exclusive feature for the upcoming AdaptCMS v1.1. Here is an excerpt: "Besides being essential for websites that run on feeding RSS feeds, the RSS Importer plugin has many other uses. When I ran PAX Gamers.com later on, I found adding news a pretty boring task and with this plugin a game website could feed through game news and then handle the rest. Not only that, but there's so much potential to expand."
